If you like dogs....

Kudos to the good people at Cyclerama in Pinellas Park FL for bringing a little more grunt out of my X1!

It's great to find a place that actually knows what's what about Buells--especially the DDFI X1--

Overall increase in HP and Torque--especially torque--no more detonation under load--smoother and cooler running--even got a couple more MPG out of the deal!

Really glad the Checkaholic found and cured a potential disaster in the Primary--something the HD/Buell techs overlooked (as usual)--tranny seems to shift a bit crisper now--and internally more quiet now that it's not grinding itself to bits in the primary...

Thanks again to the Queen of the Universe for parting out her beloved X1 so I could make it back home...

And to help pass the time a three dog circus performed continuously throughout the day...

What more could ya ask?

What exactly did you have done to your X1?

I live in Orlando but Pinellas Park is not that far away for me to go for quality service on my X1 too.

Ftd,

The trip to Pinellas Park will be worth more than you can imagine. Take it from one who knows and I live 950 miles away!

I'd just take a look since you're so close--now these folks are all about building race-winning engines--but talk with them and see if they'd be interested in working on your bike...

All I had done was dynotuning to create a map for my power commander--well worth the money since it is unlikely that one could otherwise "hot rod" an X1 since it is fuel injected--without any sacrifice of reliability (unlike radical mechanical modifications)

Also you can just unplug the power commander and be back to stock if the need arises (warranty work...)

I noticed a definite improvement even before the mapping on the dyno--but dyno work is about the only way to find what a particular bike "needs" in terms of fuel spark and air.

Ftd, I live in Orlando too. You can contact me on my cell 407-810-7898. Wes at CycleRama did the heads, cylinders, & pistons in my 00 M2. It's been great. I highly recommend them. As Aaron says, Wes is a genius. I've put 15K miles on mine since he worked on it & it's run flawlessly.

"the Checkaholic "?....I think you must mean 'The Great Chuck-holio' (a little Beavis and Butthead humor on my part) Wes says that I am the checkaholic(since I spend all the money). "I can't be out of money, I still have checks left!"

Thanks you guys for all the kind words.

We have to get together sometime soon. If anyone has some ideas...call me. Of course even if you don't have any ideas, you can still CALL ME. Or if you think you might want to hear my ideas, CALL ME. Or even if you realize that I rarely even have an idea, but I am somewhat clever, CALL ME. Or if someone you know has a idea and you would just like to pass it along before you forget it, CALL ME. Well, you get the idea....

Call me....you know you want to...

Does any one get the feeling Pammy's lonely? Or may she's just trying to drum up business.

I can't imagine Wes and Pammy will need to do too much drumming for business these days :)

Remember that Wes' engine/head work played a major part in the Elves reaching over 200 mph.

Aslo, seeing Wes' slightly perturbed and kindly overbearing smile when I said I'd (only) like about 90 HP to the rear wheel on an XB9S made me realize that he and Pammy both talk the talk and walk the walk when it comes to MC power improvements.

Pammy,

I wonder if a gathering of Buell owners from Florida (at least the west coast and central FL areas) would be possible at your shop. Use this site as well as the central Florida yahoo message board and others to spread the word. Just a thought, provide something to do in early December other than Xmas shopping and we could all check out your shop!

Henrik, It was great to see everyone(again). I was once again reminded of one the main reasons I still love my Buell.

I would be up for a meeting at Cycle-Rama. Let's give it some serious thought.

Henrik, I know what you mean about only wanting 90 RWHP on a 'Bolt. Anything more and you'd be a liability..............to yourself

sorry mate, couldn't resist that one

That's ok Rocket :) You know my point of wiev.

Hey! Steve is alive! Haven't heard from you since Colorado. Hope all is well with you.

Yeah Rocket has a hard enough time trying to stay within the lines. Perhaps he keeps forgetting which side of the road he is supposed to be on!

Yes, I'm still here, been watching everything and wishing I could be part of it all.

Rocket does not need to remember which side to use, because he uses the whole thing.

For as much ragging I give him about his riding style Sean is a realy good rider. Riding in England and Europe is so much different.

SteveP

P.S. Sorry for drifting off topic.
