Are we, Mid-America H-D Buell / Diablo racing, going to be seeing any of you guys at the practice day (the 8th) or the CCS/Formula USA races on Friday-Sunday? Sep 9-11? I expect to see Walt Sipp, and I think DaveS said he'd be there for the practice day right? Without Gateway on the schedule this is as close as we get to a "home" track (It's between Autobahn and Heartland Park) and I look forward to seeing the new facility. I'll be there. Do you know which course we will be on? I ran the north one in June. It is great! Very technical. When are you getting there? Would be cool to pit together. Tip, if it's going to be hot, pit on the grass, not the blacktop. I think Coolice is going too. | ||

Reg? Daves? This may be totally goofy, I have never seen the track and don't know... But the conversations with Reg about BattleTrax got me thinking... How big is the go-kart track at Autobahn? Is it like a BIG Battletrax course? I can't really tell from the map. And is it open more often, and does it rent cheaper then the main course? Here is what I am thinking... run a battletrax there at on the gokart track. Use the timing equipment and procedure, have the battlemaster there. One rider on the course at a time, timed runs, normal battletrax rules. I would happily pay $50 to $75 and make the 5 hour ride for a day with a lot of runs on a large well prepped battletrax closed course. It would be a very cool "track day light", lower gear requirements, even more emphasis on skills and only one rider on the track at a time. I think it would really work well... unless that go kart track is REALLY small. Heck, if it is big, you could run two tracks, one for practice (untimed) and one for points (timed). | ||

I think we will be on the south course, but don't quote me on that. I have plywood that I carry with me for pitting on the grass. As new as the course is I have to ask, is power available there (I have no problem paying for it) or will I have to run my generator all weekend for the tire warmers? I intend to show up Wednesday night and set up our pits so we don't have to rush on thursday morning. Our usual crew will be there, (from mid MO) but you are definitely welcome to pit with us Dave. | ||

Cool, I have an older Dodge motor-home. White with a brown stripe. We pull a trailer as well. I'm sure we will all benefit from combining resources. Buell race support will be there, it is a formula USA event. I'm sure Henry will be happy to save a little shoe leather by concentrating a large number of the Buells together. | ||

sweet if I can get a list of who will be there and your space requirements i will do my best to "mark our territory"  So far my team has the rv, trailer, and pickup. bump.....The date is getting close, 1 1/2 weeks till we are back at the track. I can already smell the hot tires and race fuel. |
