I just ordered the Buell tail bag and "tank" bag. These are both the new vers. of these. I was wondering how well the rain covers work in the rain in keeping things dry in there. |

i have a buell tank bag. makes a fine rain catcher.never ever buy anything that comes with a "rain cover". it makes little sense to produce ANYTHING made to be used outdoors that is not waterproof. i mean, it DOES rain in some parts of the world. WTF good does porous luggage do? if there is such a fabric with which a "rain cover " can be constructed, why the heck not use that "rain Cover" fabric to make the darned luggage out of in the first place?? i have ridden 800 miles with a big black wet flapping "rain cover" flailing against my chest, wondering at the logic. makes as much sense as using ultra light weight taiwanese cast aluminum footpegs, and then hanging a 19 pound steel BUSS MUFFLER on the same bike. oh, and you know you have a headlight out? |
