From what I've heard... Erik Buell was personally interested in the lower bike at some point... |

All good points....like the SUV craze with cages. WHo takes that Utility Vehicle off-roading as much as it's used for the grocery getter? I consider my Tiger a cycle SUV of sorts. Good for city, touring, and the dirt road doesn't hold me back. (Of course I know there are plenty of Buells that have seen lots of dirt roads all ready) I test rode the Mutistrada and the V-Strom both in the 1000cc form. I liked the Multistrada much more than the V-Strom. ....both bikes have a ~650cc lil brother. Can ya see a Buell version in possibly 3 displacements yet? Maybe after an initial "reception" year followed up by more. XB12T - Longer wheel base that accomodates 2 comfortably? XB9DT - The 900cc brother that keeps the same wheel base as the current bikes and will handle the occasional passenger. XB5D - The 500cc single DAve |

If Buell builds a bike that even hints at any offroad capability, they better fully enclose the belt drive or use a chain. |

So A'nonny is watching this thread... Please float up to the powers that be, a "request" for 06 More Apparell, Shirts, whatever you want to call 'em. I can go into any Harley boutique, er, store, and there's two hundred different t-shirts to choose from. So far, in all the shops I have stopped in at over the past year, I've seen a total of 6 Buell shirt designs - and that's for all shops combined. You'll never see all 6 of them in any one place or at the same time. hmmm 200 varieties of Harley T-shirts... 6 Buell T-shirt designs... ah, hey! do we gotta be 3%'ers there too?!?! Oh, and one more thing. Please make them reasonably priced. I'm sorry, but as much as I love my Buell and would like to display it, if I gotta choose between $50 for a shirt, or $50 towards parts, I'm gonna wait and put it towards parts. |

"A post went by here in the last week or so stating that there was a new belt coming that was "bullet-proof". Tested with holes, tears, and chewed teeth, and did not break..." As I recall, that was a test of the "new" belt that came out with the '04 models. |

Could be. That's not the context that I recall. I thought it was for next year or so. |

I haven't tried chewing on it yet, but there is a brand-spankin' new XB belt and I have it on my 12R. The part number is G0500.1AAE and they were just released last week. The outside of it is actually textured somewhat like the background in the teaser video when it says "The Discovery Begins . . ." |

I got two of those in but sold them the same day, didn't even take them out of the box to look at them. |

Spike, how about a photo of the belt? At this point, I'm dyin' to see anything vaguely related to this new bike.... |

Hey, somebody on Advrider picked up on this: check out the Buell flash ad at the top of this page: http://www.motorcycle.com/mo/mcyossef/05_Breva/index.motml Another very vague hint, and I'm still thinking adventure tourer. BTW, the link is to the Motorcycle.com road test of the Moto Guzzi Breva 1100, which they evidently like very much. |

The Advrider site is buzzin' as much as the badweb! Funny to see a different perspective getting excited about a new Buell. If the new bike is as good as it could be, there will be a whole new group of Buellers joining the ranks soon. |

Another very vague hint, and I'm still thinking adventure tourer. Buell currently offers nothing that I have any interest in. An adventure or dual sport bike? Now you're talking. I've always been a fan of dual sports. My price point is about $7500 max. OK, so I'm a cheap bastid.

The Buell site has the teaser with the multiple surfaces now.... Not sure how long it's been there and I haven't clicked on it, but I didn't notice any mention of it here so I thought I'd pass it along. If you're far enough away to be on dirt roads it's gotta have bags, doesn't it? |

If the Breva 1100 is as good as they're saying, there'll be a whole new group of Guzzisti joining their ranks soon, too. |

Just a question, if the KTM 950 can hold 30 liters of gas, and the BMW GS Adventure can hold 9 gallons, can Buell really enter the market with the current frame capacity for Fuel, i mean its not an adventure if you have to look for gas every 100- 120 miles yes no maybe Just wondering R |

Oh, and one more thing. Please make them reasonably priced. Well, now you know why they would rather stock HD Tee shirts. |

The HD T's are not unreasonably priced. You can walk out with one for under 22 bills. It's just really hard to cough up the $50 for a Mechanics shirt. |

For those that asked... The teaser flash file converted to video and slowed down. 1/2 speed 1.6mb http://eazys.us/teaserhalf.wmv 1/4 speed 2.3mb http://eazys.us/teaserslow.wmv If I had to put my money on it, I would have to say dual sport as well. Guess we'll just have to wait and see on the 23rd. (Message edited by Imeazy on July 09, 2005) |

I'm proud to wear my Vanson Buell jacket, maybe on a new Buell with the ............oops not yet.... |

OKay you've slowed it down, the video, but can you see anything if you play it in reverse? How about the song, is there a hidden message if played in reverse...??? Now that would of been cool for Erik to have done that! |
