I finished my last SD inspection this morning about 10 am and sat in Martin facing two possible destinations. 1. Take the down and dirty fast route and cut across the Rez on a two-lane oil road, or 2. Take the slightly longer but infinitely cooler route and cruise up through Hot Springs and Custer through the Black Hills. Guess which one I chose?

If you're ever w/ 500 miles of the Black Hills I highly suggest you take the detour and blast through a 150-200 miles of killer curves. It was literally the most fun I've ever had on a motorsickle. I by-passed Sturgis and all that, just took the smallest roads I could find and came out on Hwy 14A in Spearfish. Nice!

Do it, you won't be sorry.

I've been in that area (not on a bike though) and they are great roads.

Around here there's "roads", and then there's "stupid roads".

Guess which way I always go

I went yesterday and had a good day on my 207's.
I felt like I was pushing hard enough, but I didn't get the usual feeling that the bike wanted more.

I still have chicken strips due to lack of confidence in the 207's, but yesterday, they got reduced(a little).

But I know the bike still wants more, just not with the 207's.
