This is the one I have. I love it. Newenough has them cheap right now. http://www.newenough.com/joe_rocket_santa_fe_jacket_page.htm |

I have Firstgear Mesh Jacket, and HT Ovepants, so far like them both. Rode when the weather was in the mid seventies without the liner in the jacket, and froze. I like it hot though! Bought the Jacket at Cycle Gear, the pants from Newenough. Have the liner in now riding to work in the upper 40's, and they are warm enough. |

I have a Teknic mesh jacket that I like pretty well. I later bought the Joe Rocket "dry tech" liner (I think it comes with most Joe Rocket mesh jackets now) and it's a great addition. It's waterproof, pretty warm, and will easily stuff in a tank bag. With a mesh jacket and the liner, I can be comfortable from about 60 degrees up to about 100. I've got a pair of "Draggin' Jeans" for hot weather riding. They're kevlar reinforced in the butt and knees; separate knee armor is available. They're a little heavier than regular jeans. |

I got the Fieldsheer M3. Great thing about it is the rain liner that stores away in a pocket on the lower rear of the jacket. It is also very warm to put over the mesh jacket when the weather makes a sudden change. Plenty of armour to spare. |

How does this mesh stuff perform if you put it to the test and actually go down on the pavement? |

I saw a guy last year go down on his bike entering I-94 near Chicago. It was raining, which may have had something to do with it, but his Joe Rocket Phoenix Jacket looked fine when I stopped to help. |

Rain on the street makes a big difference. Slid about 40 feet after a get-off on Delancy - not a mark on the Aerostitch. Henrik |
