i am looking to get a backup carb that I can jet with stock S1W settings. Someone offered me a nice carb for decent money but its from an S2. Are the carbs the same- except for jets?

The body of the carbs are the same. The jets will be different. Don’t run the stock jet size, with the newer gas. It will be to lean. Use a 45 low speed and around a180 main. Start your idle air screw at 1-3/4 turns. If I remember correctly the needle has a different pitch also on the S1.
