picking up an 01 x1 and the fairing says white lightning but the seller says its not a white lightning and it was on there when he got it...because the white lightning only had white frames. True? I really don't care either way....the white with nuclear blue frame is absolutely gorgeous

Look at the VIN it "should" tell you all.

You can order spare keys with the VIN too.

(They say H-D on them but they fit)

X1 White Lightning's were only '02 MY, and yes they had white frames, and blue headers.

BTW, there is nothing special about an X1W VIN, other than being stamped on a white frame...

If it is race kitted though, it will have silver ceramic headers (and a race ecm & muffler)
