I was chatting with Luca (Buell Custom Service in Italy) today about the possibility of him building us some S1/S2/S3 frame braces like the old Banke design that is now unavailable. He said he’d be interested in pursuing a design if there is adequate interest. So I ask you, if this is something you’d purchase for your tuber, jump in the thread below and let’s see what interest there is out there.

Who made those other frame braces? Make copies of those ones. West Tek, that's who it was. They're round and have two tube clamps on the end, instead of that giant aluminum one.

Several years ago someone made a run of the Banke style braces I believe.

It was Jeff Caco, I believe. I haven't seen him post for quite awhile.

I actually spoke to Jeff about 2 years ago on these braces. He mentioned it was he and another gentleman (name escapes me now) who worked on this endeavor together. Also, he sold his bikes and is no longer doing any of this. Firstly, I wouldn't want to poo poo on someone elses venture (aside of the fact they took the design from Banke anyway), but it's been some years and its history now so the reason I'm asking if someone else with the equipment or access to the equipment will pick up the torch and make more for those of us who need them.

Jolly (David Ellingson) and Jeff used the same machinist. 2016 was the second run of braces Jeff coordinated; his first rub was in 2014 (I bought one as well then). I believe David may have the file onhand for the brace, as he does the other things he's had made.

I'll shoot Jolly a text and see if he wants to pipe in on this.

I'm a machinist and while don't have access to CNC for production.I do have mill and late .I suspect makin em that way would be time consuming but without a 3 view or a guinea pig at least,I couldn't begin to price these...Side note.My 2000 M2 will be going up for sale.Totally gone through, no issues, good lookin machine in black with a few upgrades. It will be listed here with pictures if I can figure how to load as well as Atlanta CL...
