The inside ring on the rear sprocket broke loose. I used some zip ties to hold the ring to the spokes to finish the ride. I got the rear sprocket from a sportster and had to grind the diameter to widen the hole but it worked. I checked the part numbers where the same. So I am guessing Buell honed them out at the factory.

So I am guessing Buell honed them out at the factory.

The inner diameter was machined to the proper size by the machine shop of Buell's choice at the time.

Your guess wasn't too far off,
