The S3 fairing will bolt straight with the S3 bracket, check out my profile

I see several people with the S3 fairing on the M2, but it can be an expensive conversion and difficult to piece together (or just time consuming).

After trying a few smaller windshields, Givi a210 and a755, I've decided that stock or go big, b/c everything in the middle creates buffeting which is more annoying than the air noise and chest blast. I love my bike the way it is, just want to get down the 65-75 mph stretches a little more relaxed.

I think this is going to be my next windshield: http://www.revzilla.com/motorcycle/givi-af49-airfl ow-universal-windscreen

Good review here: http://www.apriliaforum.com/forums/showthread.php? 227031-magic-windscreen-!

Never seen that one before, has the same split-screen as the Ulysses, and some other touring/adventure bikes.

I have a couple of stock flyscreens that I probably won't ever use.

I have a Givi 750 on my M2 ( see profile pic ) It's not perfect but better than stock. PO painted it to match the bike.

Mounting an XB Firebolt fairing to an M2 is not too difficult, see my profile.

If I'd a seen these, I would have gotten one of this instead of the Laminar Lip (which I'm still tinkering with...):

I haven't been on "Old School" & especially the "Cyclone" thread for quite a while since I got my 1125R but seeing this post I had to add a little incentive. Now I have always liked full fairings and built my '02 M2 like this (below), a while back, maybe 2005 or so. All mounting hardware except the Airtech fairing & seat had to be hand fabricated. In addition I add a head temp. guage and an 8" cooling fan behind the left side fairing, custom exhaust, race ECM and K&N air cleaner in a custom housing and chain drive conversion. It was a one of a kind and was one of the ten custom Buells featured in a Cycle World mag. edition at that time. Not for everyone since the big interest in naked street racers, but I enjoyed it. Bob

J.V., yes that is the company. The fairing I used was not intended for a Buell; it was a replacement for a stock Suzuki RF900. As you can see it adapted fairly nice. I do not remember having to cut it at all but fabrication of the brackets was a fair amount of work. Bob

If I was doing a full fairing on an M2 I think an early '90s Yoshimura fairing with the dual headlights and side louvers would look cool 8)

Nic Rex!
Just curious if there were reasons why you choose to make the M2 more tour friendly over the s3 ?

at the time, I liked the M2 better, and the price was more in line with what I could afford. then over the years, I started making the changes.....

^^^^^this^^^^^

IIRC, the'99 carbed M2 vs. FIed X1 price difference was about $1500

the S3 was mebbe another $1000, & I can't remember the bags' accessory price back then.....

By far cheaper to add a fairing.
But...
