Went for a ride today and when I started my s2, white smoke bellowed from the muffler for about 30 seconds. After that, nothing. During the 70 mi ride, I shut the bike off several times and no more smoke. Never done this before today. 1995 model with 3200 original mile when I bought it last April...I've put close to 3000 on it since. Hope it was just a fluke or some seal that needs replacing. Opinions please. Anyone have any ideas? |

Black smoke = too much fuel Blue smoke = too much oil white smoke = not enough fuel red smoke = fire |

Valve seals and guides can cause that. Oil will leak down the valve stem into the combustion chamber and will cause white smoke/oil burning during start-up. Sounds like you need a head job. |
