I want to lower my S2. It looks like it might have updated brakets(bike was owned by a HD mechanic). I looked at the shock and compared it to my stock M2 shock(extra - I switched my M2 to a M2L shock) and over all the length is the same but the back has been adjusted out about an inch. I am thinking I can use my stock M2 stock and adjust the back out an inch and lower the S2 ?

And then I can adjust the tree to lower the front ?

The length on the S2 is 15, so newer shock bracket.

Adjusting the back will also adjust your spring preload, sag measurement, and handling...
