I just bought an 01 cyclone with 5000 miles on it but it has several missing parts. I am in search of the rear tail fairing, seat, air intake, exhaust, rear rim, brake light, license plate mount, turn signals, just a lot of the smaller body pieces. If anyone has any of those please let me know. Thanks

Re-adjust that shifter mechanism! You want it as close to horizontal as possible where it is connected to the shaft coming out of the primary cover.

OK i will check tonite and let you know. I know i have some turn signals, i may have the tail section, and some other stuff. It looks like you already have a rear wheel - is there something wrong with that one?

You also have the newer front upside down Y exhaust mount, which is a $100 bonus.

The original front exhaust hanger was a couple of plates, which would cut through their supporting grommits in short order, and the result was a wobbly exhaust system that would start shearing exhaust studs.

The (factory) fix that came out in 2001 maybe was a goodwill update if you got it in time, but was $75 if you didn't. It is that nice beefy upside down Y hanger you have for the front exhaust support.

So bonus!

hey Rob - I'm out of email range. The X1 turn signals are not a direct fit, but I was able to get them to work with very minimal effort, and I am no fabricator. The wiring is the same, took all of 15 minutes to convert my M2 to all X1` signals and like I said they look so much nicer and have rubber stems instead of plastic so they will not break off like the M2 stockers will.

Will the tail section work for you? If so I will check UPS for estimated shipping to you

let me know

Kilroy

Rmckenz - I don't know anything about the bike...I was just curious if it was the same one. I was pretty sure it was, I think I had posted the link for it here a few weeks ago.

Congratulations!

If you don't want any of the stuff we discussed anymore, let me know. I will put it back in storage for the next guy that needs it. Not cool to just ignore someone that is trying to help you out because you don't want the stuff anymore. Just have the courtesy to let the other person know.The folks on this forum are the greatest bunch of Buell enthusiasts you will ever find and will be of immense help to you over the years. Don't treat them like crap.
