I know Buell made a plastic one but they are hard to come by and pricey for plastic. A company used to make a stainless one too but that has disappeared. Anyone make there own?

Yes i made my own. it is a 2 piece design. a left and a right. believe it or not i used a janitors "caution wet floor" sign for the plastic. i made cardboard stencils, transferred them to the plastic, cut them out, used a heat gun to bend and form them and then painted them gloss black. I secured it to the battery using industrial Velcro. its been over a year with no problems.
