I posted about this problem I just need to specify what I have found. I removed the rocker cover of the rear cylinder. I turned the engine over and I noticed the exhaust valve and push rod were not moving. I removed the push rod and cover to check the tappet. It was not moving I double checked it again while turning the motor over. So I removed the tappet, removed the oil filter , checked for metal. I did find a little glitter. Nothing major. Then after removing the cam cover I found no glitter in case. The cams and tappets look fine. But prior to removing the cam case I put the lifter back in and it was moving up and down. So I put it back together but I the oil light came on and did not blink off. And a slight chatter That I can't really be sure what it is. So I stopped and removed the cam case. The Oil pump gear looks perfect as well the cam lobes and tappet rollers. Any clues for me to cure this? Also could it be the tappets lifters? Or what? I did find after further checking that the Oil pump is scoured on the inside of it housing and the gerator gears are scoured also. So I must replace the oil pump.

pull the oil pump and turn it by hand... i bet you will find a tight spot. take the pump apart and i bet one of the gerators in the pump is cracked or damaged... Ask me how i know : )

Be sure to check the lines and tank, either low oil or debris damaged the pump....

Check the roller on your lifter.
My ironhead ate its bearing and chucked a needle into the oil pump.
Shear pins in the oil pump kept the feed side turning but the scavenge side stopped and so my engine filled with oil.
