Just stripped the nut in the seat on my 2002 buell m2l. Is there anything I can do to fix this? Don't want to wait long fr parts, any kind of home depot solution. I can upload a picture later, any thoughts and input greatly appreciated. | ||

Yep. Your butt holds it in place while you ride. Velcro holds it when you don't. | ||

Anything more secure, rode it today and felt it slide under acceleration and cornering. | ||

Heat up the nut that's in there till the plastic releases it. Usually sticking a high wattage soldering iron in it will heat it enough. Find a comparable replacement. Put it in hot so the plastic grabs it. | ||

The Corbin seats use a plate of spring steel that screws to the outside of the seat and accepts the dzus fastener. The plate is made by dzus and comes in three sizes. I believe the large size is the correct size. dzus is the name of a company than makes them and I don't know if I'm spelling it right. You could probably screw one of these plates to the seat and be good to go. You might have to dish out some material to accept the plate first. I have an extra I could send you. You'll need to provide the screws for it but you can get those anywhere. PM me with your address. For now you could bungee the seat in place. | ||
