Hey there, looking to clean up that tail on the 2000 X1. What are some options that don't cost too much and are easiest to install?

Have same question for my 1997 S1. My fab skills are lacking but not zero. Would like to see what others may have come up with. I hate sand and road grime under the seat and around the oil bucket cap which i would like to avoid.

Look at my profile pic. Not a quick mod, as the tail has to be removed. I have seen kits on ebay that look pretty simple.

S1Owner - that is exactly what I would like to do. Presume you have to remove the cover to access the seat bolt? If so, curious why the hold in the middle?
Nice job.

I recently purchased this kit from American Torque on ebay.http://www.ebay.com/itm/NEW-BUELL-X1-UNDERTAIL-KIT -FENDER-ELIMINATOR-USA-MADE-LIGHTNING-X1-/27114885 6217?pt=Motorcycles_Parts_Accessories&hash=item3f2 1bb3399&vxp=mtr
I won't be using it. If you are interested in it we can work out some sort of deal.

Sean
For now yes you need to remove to get to the seat but the plan is to extend the seat srew so you dont have to just have not gotten that far. I have also switched the mounting to quick release pins just do not have a pic yet
