Here's a co-worker's original-owner, 7100 mile S2T that I just got done bringing back to life. It's been in his barn for a dozen years (at least, he says). No major surgery required - carb rebuild with ultrasound cleaning, new fluids throughout, new tires, new battery, everything checked and adjusted, it's a happy camper : ) Although I know now why he parked it - it's got the Supertrapp exhaust, and when I pulled the carb it was a 42/170. Ran like poo when I put it back together (I figured "he was riding it this way so it must be OK")...but when I re-jetted it with a 45/190? Happy-happy.

It should get a lot more miles now! : )

Yeah, and that's only the downstairs part of his new garage!!!

I have a serious case of garage-envy.

I don't need to go "out" with the new garage.

"up" would be nice, though. I could use a taller ceiling in the workshop upstairs, for an automotive lift. Putting four tires on my 89 CSX, and front brakes. It's a LOW car, floorjacks don't like to go under it without scraping the fiberglass body kit...a proper 2 post lift would make things SO much easier...ah, well...at least everything's indoors now, like it should be : )

And, the CSX has its first new set of tires in 23 years. Finally found someone I trusted to put tires on FIBERGLASS wheels!!

http://books.google.com/books?id=vAAAAAAAMBAJ&pg=P A36&lpg=PA36&dq=fiberide+wheel&source=bl&ots=w2-G2 DsFq_&sig=QEtwmyR9FcJMDq-d-nefu6AyUPs&hl=en#v=onep age&q=fiberide%20wheel&f=false

"lower unsprung weight". Hm. Now, *where* have I heard that before...? ; )
