if you are going to rework the CV, be sure to use some polishing compound on the slide rails in the body of the carb. A rag and a popsicle stick or paint stick do fine. The OEM and dynojet pistons both benefit, slide faster from clean shiny slide rails.

DannyBUELL:

"THANKS" for sharing that ...

Had not thought of that one yet ...

Maybe just a little more snap from that simple polishing ???

This reminds me of of being in Anderson, INDIANA in the early 60's re-building a SPRINT CR race engine ...

A GE Engineer said they were building a car engine that ran without oil ...

He stated they were using a new lubricant to rub into the metal parts, well you don't have to guess what "i" said to that !!!

"BUT" he did give me enough to do the engine and it did help to make the engine run better until it ran out of valve springs ...

That would be the ideal lubricant for the
slide ...

Thanks for the updates. Jim, I might be bringing the M2 over for the Quail and the Infineon events. I might leave it and let you guys have a go at checking it out.

I get high mileage on my m2. six speeds and european gearing. 50-60 mpg, cruises at 80 without hardly turning over. A great highway bike. I love it.
