It's tough to tell if that bike is worth the asking price or not but, damn, that thing needs a good detailing before anybody is going to consider that kind of coin on it. Why don't people at least wash their bikes, roll them outside and take some flattering photos when they try to sell them? That may or may not be a beautiful motorcycle but, you can't tell from those photos and the dirt/corrosion. |

I agree with ya..clean it up, remove the decal on the updated shock, post some history , etc and take some good outside closeups...if anything, the bike deserves it...My 2 cents..Hb |

That's not an updated shock. That's the original (early) Works Performance shock. That predates the WP shock on later Westwinds. |

I'm curious why you'd buy a 91-93 over this one? Do you think the 5-speed engine makes that much difference? You already had one? What was it and why did you sell it? |

Greg... Yes, i had a 90 RS..Loved it..Sold it due to too many bikes,moving,divorce,etc.. I have had all sorts of Buells..S2,S2Ts,S3,S3Ts,XB..Liked them all..had over 350 Hds as well.. I buy, sell and rebuild etc.. I Still have a few HDs, and my 96 S2T.. Really like the S2T, but always wanted a 91-93 RS since they were new...tried to buy one but Canada inadmissable then. I prefer the 5speed over the 4speed for a few reasons.. #1..clutch asembly doesnt have altenator inside..{Poor design on 4 speed}} #2..5 speed trans supierior to 4 speed #3..rear belt drive capable #4..upside down forks I really like my S2T, but have always liked the rareness of the RS models, and there unique design... They are all awesome units, dont get me wrong, just personal preference. Why are You selling it?

350 bikes? Wow. I thought I had the disease bad. Well, you certainly have your reasons for wanting the 5-speed. I wasn't sure if you knew the differences. From a pure collector standpoint, I'd like an early RS that still had the Buell calipers instead of the PM grabbers on this one, the Buell seat instead of the Corbin, and blue or red since my 1991 is already white. Between the two Buell books out and all the original magazine tests I've collected, it's getting to where I can spot production changes in the photos--things like the dash panel quietly growing a bulge for the indicator cluster on later RS models. This is my '91. Compare it to the photos of this '90 that you posted above.

JW.. Its a stock windshield with a Laminar Lip from an S3 added.. laminar never made lips for s2 models, thus I adapted an s3 lip..I beleive that they make an S2 version now tho.. it works great.. |
