I need to replace the gaskets on my leaking rocker boxes, is there an easy way to find TDC? I did this on my ex's Blast and remember it was a pain in the a$$ to see if the valves were both closed through the spark plug hole. There has to be an easier way...

I just took the covers off and with it in 5th gear, rotated the rear tire until both rockers were raised (hence valves closed) on the head I was working on.
The job went pretty smooth and no more leaks.

Ditto Outdoors. Also it is a good idea to use your fingers to "square up" the middle cast assembly to the top valve cover before tightening.

Thanks, that makes total sense. I knew there had to be an easier way!

um...pull the timing plug out of the base of the V on the right hand side of the motor, and look for the mark.

Big honkin' allen bolt. Can't miss it. Right there in the middle, by the base gaskets.
