I put a set of 3T bags on my S2..........what a great "upgrade".

One of the locks takes a whole lot of jiggling to get the key to work.

Looks easy enough to get the whole lock assy. off...........but........can you get the lock itself off the assy.?

There is a small return spring that looks imposable to get back on.

The parts book shows it as a separate item......(without the lock)....or with the lock.

I've replaced all the locks on the 2, so it's just a matter of time before these will need replacing.

Thanks........Jack

I was able to get new latches just last year from Liberty for my S3T, they were easy to change out and the locks came apart with no scary spring jump issues. I am thinking of ordering another set just to have, that way I am assured I won't have any lock/latch problems ever again. It's like bringing a rainsuit to ensure good weather.

Jvv. You can remove the locks, but it takes a little time and patience. I use a tiny straight slot screw driver to pop the circlip off the end of the shaft. Be careful not to lose it. Then shove the shaft in so you can rotate the latch assembly up. Then use a phillips screw drive to get the lock assy out.
I've done this twice now due to breakage of the latch arm.

5liter......thanks........that's what it looks like. Not looking forward to fooling with the clip and spring.

Anyone know where some dealer may have them left over........or better yet.........mfg. of the bags??

Ride safe........Jack

A good locksmith should be able to repair the lock once you get it off the latch.
