I have been with a Buell motorcycle for 4 years now (M2 & X1) and have recently sold the tuber. I always got a ton of help from everyone here when there were issues that came up. I saved a lot of money in doing repairs myself (with the help of BWB) and also gained a lot of knowledge along the way. My guess is I'll eventually own another Buell down the road.

This is just a thanks to everyone for all of the help when it came to keeping the Buell on the road.

I'll probably always have some type of 2-wheeler in the garage. I have a '78 KZ650 in the garage in pieces and just bought this S4RS below.

Traitor!

Just kidding. Maybe someday, when Erik Buell breaks into the mainstream again, you can buy another american sportbike.

Until then, keep the rubber on the road!

I'm sure it will be great but it won't be the same.good luck. I'd like to have a Duc too but can't imagine letting my tubers go.

Do not be concerned as BUELLers will ride with you ...

As for me, "i" do not care what you ride, "BUT" THAT YOU DO RIDE" !!!

What my play is, if "i" sell my 1997 S3T, a BLAST was bought so there is still a BUELL in the garage even it is a HALF A BUELL ...

Very nice bike. I'm not familiar with S4RS but have been lusting over the Monster 1100 since it came out. Please don't leave us before sharing your impressions with the new bike. I for one would be very interested to hear your thoughts on the Duc as compared with your old X1.
Wish you all the best.

I can definitely give some feedback in comparing the new bike to the X1, when it decides to stop snowing here in Indiana.

The Monster 1100 is very similar in numbers to the X1, I believe it's rated around 95hp and the torque numbers may be a little lower than the X1. 2-valve air cooled motor.

I don't know that it would be apples to apples comparing the S4RS to the X1, a better comparison may be to the 1125r. The S4RS is a monster with the 998 superbike motor in it. 4-valve, liquid cooled motor with Ohlins suspension all the way around. The one I bought has quite a few mods and dyno numbers are 144hp and 80ft/lbs at the rear wheel.

From the little that I have rode it, it seems to be a completely different animal, both are fun in their own way.

It may be a while until the snow quits flying. Looks like we have a nice storm on the way.

It looks like the S4RS is the best of both worlds; a relatively comfy upright/stretched riding position combined with some serious performance numbers all wrapped in a beautiful and state of the art package. I'm jealous...
