this might be a stupid question but the frames look very very similar (pre 99)... what is the difference?

i found what looks to be a nice frame for sale : ) im thinking about grabbing it.

you can, but you would need a new tail section and seat...

Also some small details like a new brake pedal and possibly a shifter.

You will also need to re-route the voltage regulator to the front of the bike, so you will need a bracket for that.

Ummmmmmmmmmm

I think that is about it. There maybe some small details I am missing but others will chime in...

I believe the rake is a little different, but your front end would bolt up. Your seat and tail section wouldn't work without frame modifications. There's probably more, but its doable. I've never seen anyone turn an S1 into an M2, its usually the other way around. Why are you looking to change?

well if you were able to put a XB front end on your bike there isn't anything you can't handle. It is almost a direct bolt on!

Except for the Voltage Regulator re-location...

if i got the updated y hanger kit, that would take care of the voltage regulator relocation right? as it moves it up front?

yeah i couldnt believe how easy the XB top end was!

then i had to change headgasket on my blast, and it blew in the first 30 seconds. there went my confidence lol. i must have had too many beers by the time i torqued the head on
