That is just WAY too funny! I can 't wait to show Jan, she knows what a great fun loving bunch of folks Buellers are but she will cry laughing at this stuff.

You guys are the best, seriously, thanks for taking me along for the ride I REALLY appreciate it. It make being stuck here a lot easier...

Heck, WE are glad you have such a good sense of humor!

Well, we went for a ride today, a real nice loop, I think it was hwy335, 336, and 337. Wow, these Texas hillBuellies know how to lay out the ride routes!
I will post pics in a little bit of the days activities, right now, we need a few COLD ones!
Until then, here is the last pic we were able to catch with Brad, apparently he had found someone else's bike and was last seen hading south.
More adventures to come!

Holy Sh*T, I love this thread! By far my favorite in quite some time. You Guys (the S2 crew) have an amazing way of taking us all on the ride with you, thank you so much! My wife and I have had a lot of laughs over the Brad head so far, I think we appreciate it almost as much as Brad does. Be safe out there all of you, and have a great time. Keep the pics coming!!!

Another great day....as Bartimus said.....great roads and routes.

The Lone Star bike museum/restaurant is quite a place. Could have shot a hundred pics of all the very, very cool bikes there.

Don't know Rex, it is pretty dead around the camp ground this morning most likely due to all the celebration last night...

Ross (Phelan) went down yesterday and I am hoping we can do a good assessment of his bike to see what it would take to make it ridable again. Regardless, I may be dropping him off in Amarillo.

Time (Smoke) made it here in time for the celebrations, give aways and awards.... We are having coffee and conversation right know...

Good times......

mmmmm, that was some gooooood stuff!
I think it was the bourbon in that huge bottle that got to me. ; )

OK, since I was to lazy, and too intent on participating in the festivities after the ride yesterday to post pictures, I will post them this morning.

It is drizzling lightly at the moment, glad it didn't yesterday!

It did rain pretty hard on Friday night, I can't believe I forgot about Brad, and left him outside, passed out by that S3 all night. Needless to say, when I got out there in the morning, and helped him up, he was pretty washed out.

But don't worry! Being a good Jarhead, I was prepared, I had brought another "Brad" just for this purpose. : )

Here are some of the riders lining up getting ready to head out.
It turned out to be a gorgeous day, nice, sunny, no wind, no rain, just some great weather with some great friends.

Ross had left ahead of the group on his own, we saw him coming back, as we were heading out. We didn't know until our first fuel stop that he had gone down.
This is probably that last shot of his bike intact, perhaps he should have ridden the blue one!

The routes laid out for us, were excellent, and Road Thing kept a good pace as we wound up and down these Texas hills

One of our stops:

As you can see, Brad was still with us:

We had lunch at a small shop that was both a bike museum, and restaurant, here are a few pictures of some of the many bikes on display:

No ATGATT back in those days...

After lunch we pretty much headed back to the camp and started partying.
I'm glad nobody has posted that picture of Brad, after he fell out of that chair. That was so embarassing for me, oops, I mean for him... ; )

So, this morning we are pretty much hanging out, trying to get over this hangover.
Deb and I will probably ride out and get a couple of pictures we missed yesterday.
I think a few others are sticking around also.
So this thang ain't done yet!

Bart and gang, you guys are the BEST
I have so throughly enjoyed this thread, you have made missing the event so much easier.
I just got back from playing at both services at church and couldn't wait to see the continuing saga of "Brad".
I'm glad to see I semi survived the festivities...

Bart my friend I owe you big time. This was great.. When you get home can you send me some full resolution versions of the ones you posted. I'm going to make up a collage frame for the Crisis Center. This must be memorilized... no better place than my garage. That's where the folks that will dig it will be hanging out anyway..

A very serious thank you for including me in this very unique manner. I really truly appreciate it..

Brad

Brad, you were the theme of the Gathering. I must say that Jay and the Texas crew but on a great event. It was nice to have all the cabins and the relaxed atmosphere. RT led us on a great ride through the hill country and I must say it was nice to finally meet Tom face to face.

Some of the crew left today but we are going to wait out the sprinkles then get Ross's bike loaded. I will be taking him and his bike back to Amarillo in the morning on my way back to Colorado.

So we had all these S2s in Leakey Texas and I do not think we ever got a group shoot of the bikes and riders but we did get some great pics all the other times. I will post my pics when I return .

These are truly the best people on Buells. I cannot remember a time when I truly liked all the people at an event.

So Brad, start planning for next year, I will see you in the UP of MI or sooner...

The ONLY thing that would have made this trip better is having Lynn with me. You can bet she will go next year. If I can only attend one bike related event a year this would be it.

OMG Brad, just wait until you see what YOU did last night!
I finally downloaded the pictures from last night. Wow, no wonder I am having trouble remembering what happened.
That orange Margarita stuff is GOOD!

Some shots of the group during and after dinner:

Mmmm, orange Margaritas!

I caught Brad muff diving

Then Loren Teabagged him

Then Jay started handing out some of the swag:

Jay's little helper

Then we started the party ; )

we burned Harley shirts:

that is, everyone was partying, except Frank

Ross became the poster child for safety the rest of the night

I'm not sure what safety move RT was showing Ross here:

The Margarita's were starting to take effect

Brad, shoot me a PM and I will email the hi res pics to you...
And Thank You for letting us abuse you, let this be a lesson for those that think they can miss these get togethers. ; )

We had a great time this weekend, and I really want to thank all those that were involved in putting this, the second S2 gathering together.
The food was great, the margarita's were excellent, and the roads were a delight.
I have a whole new outlook towards Texas now.
S2 owners are a special group of people, and its great whenever I get the chance to wear out some tires with them. : )

Thanks again for a great event, you guys are the best, and as always, it's been a pleasure riding with you!

Well Sandy and I just made it home. We stopped in Fredericksburg for lunch, and were able to take our rain gear off there as well. I really had a great time and it will be nice to put faces to the usernames I have been seeing for so many years. Everybody have a fun remainder of your trip, and safe trips home.

WOW . . . it's like a Who's Who of Tube Frame Fame!

When Brad parties the earth tilts on it's axis . . . that is very cool.

Don't be alarmed about Road Thing knocking the gal down . . . get a drink or two in him and he comes up with the damnedest ways to entertain folks. I recall the first time he knocked my wife on her ass . . it was hilarious.

Brad . . .WHAT AN ANIMAL !

These pictures were fabulous but I'll bet the party was better!

Smoke by the way we did appreciate the rainsuit, we didn't run into a gulley washer either, but did run through about 70 miles of light rain, and roads that wouldn't dry up fast enough. Sandy stayed mostly dry. Jay and Ross great weekend!

Dudes, awesome to meet some new great folks from all around the county. What a dedicated bunch to come from as far as California and Canada to Texas! Some of you others are some crazy mo'fo's thats all I can say, but we like it like that! It was a real treat to get to see all the S2s and debate the finer points of exhaust running outside the frame, or inside the frame!

The dark skies kept a lot of the m/c off the road that often show up to ride the "three sisters" around Leakey, some of the best bike roads in central Texas.

The ride out from Austin was spectacular, weaving my way along the hilly and backroads, snaking my way to Camp Live Oak. Once there I hit the three sisters,,,,,tons of fun, but now with a one year old boy at home, I always leave some chicken strips. One of the Buellies, was not so lucky, went down on some rocks in the road. I passed a baby head sized stone in the road, wondered if that was it. You never know what to expect out there, last year it was a dead 200 lb hog in the middle of the road.

My 2000 X-1 going on 30K miles and running strong.

Opps! One ruined new helmet, and a banged up knee...hope he got it home OK!

KosmicKLR sporting his HellBuellies T in the middle.

Butch on the right runs Camp Live Oak and always regals with good stories about motorcycles and booze.

Wow. what a great time! I can't thank you guys (and gals) enough for making this event happen. Putting faces to the BWB handles I've interacted with for years was excellent, and it was good seeing a few old friends again.

Of course, since my S2 was hors de combat I had to ride my S1 and they made me park off by myself like a red-headed stepchild:

But once we got on the road Saturday we were one big happy:

Of course, the real treat was the party:

That Brad is one partying mofo. Once he gets a little orange juice in him, he really gets down to business:

Here are a couple of the long riders: Sportyeric, who rode down from BC with the lovely Jaci on pillion, and old friend Jack (JVV) who rode in from Oakland CA.

I shouldn't leave Tim (Smoke) out, either, but I failed to get a picture of him. He rode in nonstop from Breaux Bridge on Saturday, hung out and partied Saturday night, then turned around Sunday morning and rode back in the rain. Iron man!

Of course, it's not a Buell gathering without some repair work:

I got to meet Denny the Babe Magnet. He messed his knee up a couple of days before the get-together and wasn't riding, but he spent the weekend working on his sweet new S2T and encouraging bad behavior on my part:

Our host, Butch, is a raconteur par excellence and I would be remiss if I didn't put in a plug for his place, Camp Live Oak in Leakey, Tx. This is a great place to stay!

And then there's Hellbuelly Jay. No further comment needed.

Wow. Just wow.
