I went with a stock X1 tranny all built and set up by ZIPPERSperformance.com and had the shifter forks replaced and guide pins and all the springs ect. 3 of the main shafts and 3 gears. Then a billet trap door and back cutting of the gears and set up for racing. Also i added a barnet race clutch. And a baker smooth shift drum (Normal shift pattern) The tranny build was $1,800. But this set up is so dam Good. A light but positive clutch feel at the slightest lever release. Enough to stall it easily but not fully engaged untill 1\3 released. It is very nice to be able feel the engagement so well. And it shifts so easily is still amazes me!! I can really control wheelies and launches to easily now!!

The best thing ever was the back cutting of the gears! They actually pull themselves together when shifting! No more square engagement dogs.

I really wanted a baker 6 speed but could not afford the 3K for it.

I still wish i would have bought the 6 speed. But this build is turning out to very nice.
