I read somewhere a while back about modifying the shift linkage on an S2. Anybody have any info on that?

I don't know about modifying the stock linkage, but I know you can bolt on a later model year shifter.
I bought, and bolted on an upgraded shift kit for a 2000 X1 on my S2. works well, and looks much better than the boomerang...
