title pretty much says it all.

I am spending money on my suspension this year and just got my package from Al with all of the typical rebuild parts plus race tech springs and gold valves.

When possible, I am all about buying the best parts and fluids possible, but $60 to buy 2 quarts of Race Tech's Ultra Slick might (or might not) be pushing it too far.

What have you used, why did you buy it and how satisfied are you with it?

10,15 or 20 wt Bel-Ray is all I've ever used the last 35 years for routine maintenance, but I'm no suspension tuning expert.

About $10 a pint.

I used Race Tech Ultra Slick, but think I could have spent the extra money a little better. Especially when the second quart you only need a few drops out of.

Scott, talk to Eric. He can probably give you better info.

Eric uses the Ultra Slick as well and also mentioned that you barely need the 2nd quart.

If I remember correctly, his 2nd choice was Maxima.

In all cases he said to stay close to 5wt.

I'm 170 lbs and found that 5 wt didn't provide enough damping for track days.

I'm going for 10 wght next time.

You can make a decision depending upon your mass and riding style.

Finishing up rebuilding my forks, using 7.5 wt Spectro Golden. Was the best stuff at local shop, 13 bucks a quart.

I am 160-163 lbs and may try a track day this year, otherwise it is all street (and strip).

is you experience with or without a gold valve?

what spring are you running?

All stock.

Yes, a revalve would be in order but I'm spending my "go faster" cash on my RZ350 : )

A vis change is cheap and quick...
