Since I've owned this bike I notice after parking it in the shop after a ride or starting it for a few minutes I smell a fuel odor,I have no leaks,seems to come from the airbox area but after 20 minutes the smell is gone,is this normal on the M2

It is normal for mine. I leave mine out to cool down some before I garage it. If not the wifey complains.

Do you turn off the fuel petcock every time when you turn off the engine? It's a safety precaution that hopefully ensures that fuel does not spill out of the carb.

Yep,I do it out of habit,actually I do it on all my four wheelers and mowers,better to be safe
