I bet they go for a pretty penny. They'd be nice to have but certainly not a logical choice for the street. Besides the hassle to get the bike inspected with those, they would not be logical for the street, and dangerous around potholes because of the lack of rigidy in an impact.

I think that auction is only for the front wheel only, and I'm pretty sure that it won't go for less than $100 (just a guess).

I like the XB wheels, but I've heard that you have to mod a few things to get them to work on a tuber. I think that the axle it bigger and the width of the rear wheel is a little less than the OEM tuber wheel. If you have access to a machine shop, you'll probably be able to pull it off.

Oh, and the other factor is that you'll have to swap out your front fork so that you'll have the correct location to mount the caliper (which you'll also need). Plus of course, you'll need the brake rotor. The XB front wheel has a perimeter brake, where tuber doesn't. Correct me if I'm wrong, someone...

BTW... Is that a cherry bomb on your bike? Awesome!!!!

Duceater, read my thread here:
http://www.badweatherbikers.com/buell/messages/476 23/494495.html

Scott is planning on following in my footsteps. The rear wheel is actually wider.

That's funny, I was just reading that post... I didn't know that there was an adapter for the caliper. That would make things much easier. In my case (I've got an M2), I'd be better off with swapping the forks, since you say the forks on an M2 are not that great.
BTW, Scott, would you be selling your wheels, if you go through with the conversion? Are those PM wheels?

They don't have one available as far as I know. I'm building my own adapter for the caliper. I've got some aluminum stock so it shouldn't be too difficult.
