Will they fit? Easily?

Now that I've got an XT, I'd like to make the X1 a little less comfortable and a lot more aggressive. Will the CR bars fit my X1's stock 7/8" bar mounts? Will controls clear the tank when turned side to side?

I'm sure someone here has done this mod and has pictures ; )

Am I the only one that didn't go out and get a new bike? I can see the ghosts of my past decisions laughing at me right now...

The plan was to wait on an XB until my only debt was the mortgage, but $5k off was too good to pass up.

Thanks for the info Wilson. CR bars aren't set in stone yet.. Have any tuber crossroads type bars you'd like to get rid of? ; )

CR bars are 1 1/8" at the clamp, ours are 7/8". They will work with a riser/adapter such as one made my Precision Engineering:
http://www.preeng.com/xcart/product.php?productid= 13&cat=5&page=1

But damn, that's gonna be uncomfortable. It's such a long stretch on the Tubers. I have a set of 7/8" clubmans that I'll sell to anyone that wants to try it out- they are black and you can have em for $20 + shipping cost. Way to far forward for me, but I like to do 200-300 mile days somewhat often.

its not too bad andy, it actually puts you in a better position for the twisties. I feel a little bit less like a sail.
