My 98 t-storm head s3t farts oil from where jug meets head rear cylinder. Mech say i need to re torque bolts to spec.Just rebuilt top end, oil is black and looks cooked not like oil tank oil pancake syrup colored not smoking either just the oil going into carb that is making me switch to firebolt head breather kit any info good info. Thanks in advanced

Sounds like a clear case of a blown head gasket to me.

First of all, that was not a Mech. that told you to re-torque the head, "BUT" a technician ...

Take the valve tension off the rear head, remove the head ...

Check head/cylinder gasket surface and old head gasket ....

If you do not disturb the base gasket it will be OK ...

TORQUE per FACTORY SERVICE MANUAL ...

Don't know if this would apply to a '98 model, but there was a problem at one time with a series of cylinders where the steel liner would separate from the aluminum casting enough to leak oil around the head area.

So you might want to inspect the head area of the cylinder for any kind of separation at the liner/aluminum casting interface when you're in there replacing gaskets.
