From another thread discussion... I thought this would help anyone that uses the search in the future. I'm in no way tied to Traxxion other than being a happy customer. I love my Traxxion Dynamic forks. I roadraced 600s back in the day. I was going to rebuild the forks on my own with new springs and Gold Valves from RaceTech. I never found the time. I sent my forks to Traxxion Dynamics because they were present at a Team Hammer Advanced school I attended at Daytona. They helped setup suspension for everyone that had questions, regardless of who did the bike originally. Now that I'm half way into this I hope we don't have a vendor here that does race suspensions...If so delete away Mods. I sent them my stuff to them and they put the springs on a shock dyno. They were weaker than listed so they sold me new ones at a discount. (Might have been a ploy but I bit.) They said the Gold Valve was good but they had an inexpensive upgrade kit that made them work better. You can also buy new valve kits direct, and in the future that's what I'll do. The tech asked about the style rider I am, street, track, or combo, my weight and so on. This was a few years ago but IIRC the investment was around $400 with springs. You'll want the valving too so budget for that. Check their website for prices. The forks were back in about a week. When I got them they were set at a starting point on the clickers. I adjusted them because they feel perfect. The bike feels lighter all over. Communication is enhanced and yet they're still very comfortable. It's hard to explain. I've never felt the front end pogo, or bottom out. It's just controlled and planted so you don't think about the front end. My bike used to do a low frequency wallow on higher speed sweepers...Gone. I'm sure any reputable servicer can bring the same effect. |
