Is there a place online to buy stock M2 cyclone parts. have looked around and can't find any. Or is there an aftermarket fuel vent that will fit or can be modified to fit? The closest dealer is 2 hours from me and they have to order the part. Grrr....

Joltron:

Cut the bottom off(the valve) which makes a better vent, that is what "i" did ...

Now there are those that say you can't that as the gas will leak out if you over fill or if you fall down gas will leak out ...

If you over fill or fall the fix is to run the breather to a catch container ...

Sounds good. Now how about since my bike is a Cali model the hose out of the vent goes to a Charcoal Canister. Do I really need this or can I just get rid of it. Kind of an eye sore, and wondering if it will effect the performance of the bike by removing it? Has anyone done this?

Here is my fix for the massive vent/check valve in the fuel take vent line. Sorry about the focus. Got this from J&P.

On my charcoal canister there are 3 hoses. My tank vent line runs into along with one labeled carb and one bigger hose running into my air box. do I need to plug any of these lines to remove the charcoal box? I think that is where my problem lies.

Replace the tank vent line with one long enough to run along the frame and out back like the trans breather.

Plug the hole in the airbox and enjoy your clutter free ride.

You may need to cap the third line too, I believe it runs to the carb? If so pull the line and just cap the elbow it routes to on the carb. My bike is a California model but it's been a long time since I removed the canister.
