Looks excellent! Do you know where I can find a close-up of those frame sliders or can you take a pic? I have an idea and a friend with a mill & lathe.

They are LSL sliders.

American Sport Bike also sells them.

That black piece- that's basically a piece of rubber, right?

bigger back part is aluminum, not rubber... small LSL hard plastic is the inner part of the round aluminum piece.

Yeah, I can get close ups of the slider when I pick the bike up, but I got mine from American Sport Bike as I did all the other Carbon Fiber parts and pieces of the bike. Everything now is all CF (not in the pics), but also just got a nice tune job on the bike and it rocks hot!

So the outer piece is alum, the inner is rubber. Interesting. Could be tricky. Maybe I'll come up with something a little bit different..

from the way these pics are being taken, I think it's safe to assume that the engine is your favorite part of the bike : p

It looks great!

The motor does look awesome...
The header near the motor looks much darker than mine. Is it coated? It could be the lighting.

Yeah, love my engine... just came out perfect! The ECMSpy Maps and especially the DOBECK unit really changed the attitude of this bike... Stage III head job, enlarged intake and cams really made this bike run well. Was a little scared that I ruined the runability when I tuned this bike up... (the lower-end speeds and RPM's were choppy at best), but when I adjusted the front and rear cylinders separately and then tuned the entire bikes fuel duration with the DOBECK, this thing just "woke up"! : ) : ) -- The headers are double-ceramic black chrome coated inside and out. You can grab the headers only 3 minutes after the bike is turned off... it runs that cool. Intake and CAMs really made this bike what it is.. I have to struggle to hold her down in 1, 2nd and 3rd... when she pulls, she pulls hard. Kept the XL rocker boxes but reworked the innards and added a Crossroads aluminum head-to-head oil cross-over with dual breathers under the seat with a polished EBOC on the left side. Did not dyno the bike yet, but will next week. I am sure I hit over 110+ with all the mods, but I am more interested in the torque I am putting down.

Thanks Kyrocket... I love how the black engine with the black ceramic headers complemented the fiber carbon and the silver cylinders with black heads. -- I love this bike more than my 1125 or the XB12 hands down. This bike walks from my XB12 and eats the 1125 in the mid-range without any problem at all. : ) it sure gives me a big smile having this Old School Tuber and keeping it nice... rebuild began at 21,200 miles to the 1250cc

Great looking bike! Was it built in Dothan AL or Savannah TN? I am interested in the build details if the shop is as close to me as Savannah (I'm in Memphis) Please PM with pricing and specs if you don't mind. thanks. OH - What is a head to head intake?

Bike was built by three people (shops). Custom Intake and ECM mods were by a private (non-company) guy that does XB's and Buell Tubers intake, ECMSpy tuning and other trick intake and computer systems. The engine was built in Dothan, Alabama.

Guy did a kick-ass build. Heads were done by Accurate Engineering (Stage III), and the Intake, CAMS by the guy in Savannah and that guy makes weekly trips to Montgomery, Prattville and Dothan, Alabama to run bikes down there. The head-to-head reference was my boo-boo... it was an oil breather (head-to-head) Crossroads Billet Aluminum unit that has an NPT fitting on the back that goes to a EBOC and dual lines to dual breathers under the seat. The guys in Savannah, TN. did a kick-ass tune with the ECMSpy and Dobeck Performance unit. Will send you a PM with the contact information as I know this board hates reference to those that are not sponsors (that is understandable to a point I am sure), so look for my PM. DB.

Thx, yeah the sprocket came out really nice, will get it powder coated in a week or so and get that on.... here was a picture before the top-end of the bike was completed and prior to intake and ECM mods made.
