I have a 2000 M2. I want to put a new set of pipes on it. I have BUB Bad Dogs but want to go to an SSR2 V&H slip on with a stock header.

Does anyone know if the complete combo can be used from a 97/98 M2 on my 2000? Thanks.

Erik

On the 97/98 header, the rear exhaust pipe goes up over the frame, where on the 99+, the rear pipe follows under the frame. In order to fit the newer pipe on the older frame, you have to do some pretty good flattening of the rear pipe in order to get it to fit under the frame, but I do not know about the older pipe on the newer frame.

Is it uncommon because of the smaller pipe? What size are the primaries on the old pipes?

I really just want a carbon fiber muffler but can't find one to fit on the 2.5in header. Any suggestions? Thanks.

Well, you should watch ebay more!!

A V&H Carbon Fiber just sold on there for like $150, NEW

Yes, you can use the older style exhaust, but why would you?

A stock 99-2000 header is more plentiful and probably cheaper.

Plus, why would you want a 2" collector when the newer ones had 2.5" collectors?

Ok, it was $162.

And I happen to know someone on this board who has one of them for sale right this second. you just need the 99-02 header since it's 2.5"

I was bidding on that one. My lab partner at school is a certified retard and "accidentally" hit the power strip with his foot and killed 4 computers. I literally got up and walked out of class. 2 hours of programming and a very cheap muffler lost.

I have a stock header pipe for mine as well. I'm almost done polishing it. Thanks though.

I just wanted to go cheap.
