Coming home from work, turned left onto Venice Blvd from Lincoln. This stupid cow in a brand new BMW turned left in front of me to dart into the gas station entrance on the corner. Big countersteer, still not enough clearance.. grabbed brake, the whole thing went wiggly and I lowsided. Bike slid in front of the Beemer, I slid to about a foot from her right front wheel. There's rash on the tank cover and flyscreen, flat spots on the clutch handle, two smashed turn signals, a mangled shift lever, and a lot of wounded pride. As for the human element, I was wrapped in a coccoon of leather, titanium, and carbon fiber, so I didn't get much more than the equivalent of catching an edge on a snowboard or falling off a barstool. After exchanging information and choking back the urge to beat her to death with my helmet, I was able to limp the bike home. Anybody got a line on some Millenium Edition bodywork?

sorry to read this, I hope that the body work is available from the factory,

+2 on choking back the urge ..
if the cow is any thing other than a cow, then you made an impression, if not you avoided jail time and her insurance co may get her attention.

BTW even though you were in full gear and feel OK

go get checked out it gets the insurance cos' attention, I hope that a police report was filed.

And I'm glad that you are OK

We all hope that our experiences are as impressive to the "cows" who seem to go through life like mindless bugs, but in most cases, unless there's blood and hospitalization(fortunately you were wearing your armour and neither was the case),attorneys and litigation, they just don't wake up!

And because of these mindless bugs our insurance rates go off the scale. What's 50,000 in medical coverage gonna do in a worst case scenario anyway?

I get sick to my stomach when I hear stories like this. Did you call her a murderer? That's what I do when I get cut off.
I pull right up to the drivers window... tap on the glass and say..."You know what?...Your'e a f**king murderer... you just havent killed anyone yet".

Glad you are OK... Hope you find Y2K bodywork that is becoming irreplaceable.
