I'm looking at a S-3 oil tank and it looks larger than my 2002 M-2 tank. I was wondering if they are interchangeable? Does anyone know??? THANKS

the s3 should be the same i believe. The S2 was an alluminum peice and it will not fit. Got any pics of it?

Sorry, no pic. I don't know how to post them. I looked it up in my 2002 manual and it states the S-3 holds more oil but I'm not sure if its for all tuber years. I don't know what year s3 this tank came from? THANKS

I just found out the tank is a 98 S-3 and I have a 2002 M2.

I'm sure anything can "fit", it comes down to how much work do you want to do to mount it? Maybe you can post the mount point measurements from your M2, and someone with an S3 can post the same set of measurements from their bike....
