That the newer XB drive belts are a direct bolt on replacement for out Tubers. I was told the teeth count and tooth pitch are the same and it will fit right on, no problems. Anyone know of this?

I have heard the rear pulley has 4 more teeth.

It fit perfectly on my 97 M2. I just put one on. I used part number GO5OO.1AAE. That is the latest revision and it will also fit some Sportster models.

The parts people at my dealer knew absolutely nothing about the option to use this better, stronger belt on older bikes.

The thread pitch is the same between the '04+ XBs, tubers, and XLs. The newer XBs have a 65T pulley. The length of the belt shouldn't make a difference, as long as it will fit. Only a change in pulley teeth would affect your speedo.

I put one on my Dad's sportster. It is a thicker belt then what he had, but works fine.
