Yeah,i know they're no longer plastic. The first time i replaced it i used one from the auto parts store and it worked fine for years.

I threw one in with a long list of maintainance parts, and because i wanted a Buell filter...

Take it out of the Buell box it's stamped as "Wix",no surprise there but..................Is the inlet SUPPOSED to be blind! The goofy inlet seems defective as it's blind.I can't stick a pin into it.Doesn't seem like a check valve of sorts, must be defective.Do ya think?

curious please post a pic, should any solid object pass through the filter?

I would think not perhaps there is some kind of valve in it.

Disregard....Upon further inspection(i blew air through it)it seems what was a blind inlet is really just the internal baffle.I like this filter as,it's larger than the substitute i had.
