Well, I got a little to ambitious when I was tightening the seat in place and broke the tab off the fastener. Guess I didn't know my own strength. Now I have to use a stubby slot screwdriver to tighten and loosen the seat. The factory set up doesn't seem all that well made. Does anyone make a stronger aftermarket fastener? Any suggestions on repairing this one? Thanks to all.

Someone probably has one of those laying around. You might try the wanted section of the classifieds.

Or I'll bet DaveS at Appleton H-D can get you one.
