Rigga, is your snorkle blocked off or is that a screen filter of sorts filling the hole?

Bcordb3.....the main air intake through the frame is left open..rubber snorkel has been removed as per the race kit instalation...the heat matting is the same shape as the airbox base so does not cover the intake..just sheilds the heat from the engine heating the inlet charge up too much....also notice from the pics the r/h rear section of the 12 airbox cover has not been drilled.......opinion has it that there is a greater ammount of engine heat from this area......gonna try this first before completly removing the top air filter cover and just leaving the very top section with the cone in place as per a few members on this forum.......hoipefully then get a techlusioin fuel controller to adjust the fuelling to match the extra air the motor is getting

Here is a few more out of my collection that I have taken over the last couple of years that I think are pretty cool.

Cover photo of the October issue of Quick Throttle Magazine. Pic was taken at the All Harley Drag Races in Woodburn, OR 2004

Caught this shot of a very enthusiastic Buell rider during the Dornbecher’s Toys run 2003.

In July 2004 while doing a photo shoot for one of the Poker Run's that was taking place in Vancouver, WA. I was able to convince this pretty young lady at one of the stops, that she would look great on top of my Buell.

This is one of my fav's, an XB12R that was at a local bar for a Thursday night bike night.

This one goes back to October 2002. This is just a few months after I bought my Bolt. The first time I visted this area was back in 1997 (when I was riding a 1996 Lighting)with a bunch of other Hooligan Buell riders, which included Jerry Houghton. The road that exits this little ghost town is just amazing! Hey Jerry, if by chance you mention the gas issue, I will post more pictures of you and aliens! : )

Rigga,

How do you like that extended rear-hugger?

I've been wanting one, but since I don't have any CF on the XBr and weight isn't a big thing for me, I've been waiting. If they made one in the black plastic I'd be all over it.

Down here in FL, though, rain is an issue, so I may make the leap anyway.

Geofg the extended hugger is a lot better than the small standard item for keeping rain off your back, cannot see why buell fitted such a tiny item....might as well not bothered for the protection it offered......not tried it with the shortened rear end,but from other postings ive read it should be ok,weight saving is not really the issue as the differences between the bits ive replaced in carbon rear hugger, front cowl...is offset by fitting the frame guards....and id be better off laying off the chocolate for a few weeks if i wanted to save weight but it looks better........the alloy jardine exhaust ive still got to fit should save some weight on the bulky race item i have fitted at the moment though........will post some better quality pics if the weather ever improves here in the uk.....but as winter is fast approaching........might be a while

Saw more Buells than I ever had before at a rally.
Probably the first time that the XB's out numbered the tubers. This is what Bike Week/Biketoberfest is all about:

Is it an obsession yet?
It's getting a lot harder to put them all in a 10x12 shed though.

The XB9R was picked up from Alabama yesterday. $3200 with 10K on it. Salvage title. $100 later, it's ridable. But still needs a clutch and a pair of mirrors.

Yeah, it was an entrant for the custom show at Faro in Portugal in 02. Looks like the pic was taken there from the colour of the ground. I couldn't believe someone could do something that bad. It won a prize as well...
