It really does make you want to puke.

I kept wanting to ask . . . "how do you feel about the F.B.I. agreeing to be a party to the destruction of evidence in a case involving national security?"

Note: I see, tonight, that some senior F.B.I. Agents may be resigning over the way Comey sold out and embarrassed the Bureau.

The hell of it was that these were all fairly wealthy individuals. presumably well educated and not stupid . . yet, they were in the tank for Hillary and Barack essentially declaring them 2 of the best politicians to have ever lived.

I just sat there and looked around and kind of silently told myself that this, in concert with a generation who walks around aimlessly looking at their iPhones and taking as gospel anything someone tweets, is how America has come to be so 3vcked up.

It's kind of a pity.

We deserve better leaders.

Got more info? I'd like to try and send them a note saying I appreciate their integrity and sacrifice. What an awful position the average FBI agent has been put into by their corrupt leadership (apparently all the way to the top of the nation).

The hell of it was that these were all fairly wealthy individuals. presumably well educated and not stupid . . yet, they were in the tank for Hillary and Barack essentially declaring them 2 of the best politicians to have ever lived.

At the time of the American Revolution, there was a high percentage of folks who were quite happy to continue living under British tyranny, because such rule actually worked to their advantage. Loyalists, I believe they were called.

Yeah, they knew the system was corrupt, and blatantly wrong at its most basic level, but were willing to turn a blind eye because it didn't affect them.

"Corrupted" would be a fair assessment, IMO.

It's just the same now. There are plenty of folks in our nation who are pleased as punch with the current system. Elites strike me as being firmly in this camp. I don't begrudge a person for having figured out how to be wealthy, providing they didn't steal their wealth (and I include high-ranking politicians in this group), and providing obtaining their wealth didn't corrupt them in the process.

The mainstream media, as we all know, is breathtakingly corrupt. These folks live like rock stars, accustomed to being coddled and fawned over, quite happy to do their part in brainwashing the masses in return for their opulent lifestyle. It's important to be important, y'know.

The other group of Americans who are as happy as pigs in a sty are the "takers" in our society, the folks who subsist on the backs of the "makers."

This latter group, of course, is the holy grail for corrupt politicians, because these are the folks who'll consistently vote for them. Why? To keep the government tit flowing, of course.

Sadly, it's US who keep the tits full.

We deserve better leaders.

Agree 100%. In any business, big or small, it starts at the top.

Imagine if we had a president who not only knew how to succeed, but had the added benefit of not being corrupt.

A person who actually believed in the inherent greatness of America and its people, who actually believed in and embraced our unique form of government, who actually means it when they say they revere our Constitution and Bill of Rights, who actually means it when they say they support our military, who actually means it when they say a nation without secure borders is not a nation at all.

Trump strikes me as that kind of person.

He isn't without his flaws - he's human after all - but he's successful due to his blood, sweat and tears, not ours. The man has literally risked everything in his bid for the presidency.

I only see one choice when I cast my ballot next month.

Anything else is simply more of the same (or, likely, even worse).

Pretty accurate assessment. Trump, at this point, is dead in the water. I think he can turn it around. But he can't do it being his arrogant self. These points. to me, seem spot on.

If he was a cat . . . he's used 8 of his 9 lives.

This is all bullshit. Has nothing to do with making the country great again. Lockeroom banter, college chat, whatever, in the bus, with no other women present?? This is definition of horrible?? Who died again?? Then upon exiting the bus he was a perfect gentleman. Who has proof he wasn't?? He was a star. A Hollywood star, TV star and super successful jet set businessman. I bet Dinero said much worse in his movie trailer. Trump apologized. He may have apologized personally to others as well.

Very strange the liberals all got their parties bunched up like a bunch of prissy stuck hermit prude. Usually the other way around. Strange times.

You may be right . . . we'll see,

It's not what he said . . . as I mentioned in the other thread I fear Trump may have sealed his fate yesterday when the tape of him saying what about each and every one of us has jokingly said in the privacy or an off color conversation.

It's has nothing to do with what he said . . that's all smoke and mirrors.

How he handles it is going to show much about how he'd act as a leader. If he takes the bait and gets into a verbal brawl on Sunday . . he's finished. It's really about that simple.

Frankly . . . I think he has a great chance to leverage this into a lesson in leadership.

Let's see how he does.

And . . by the way . . . I suspect we're going to see some great shit on Hillary in the coming weeks so I wouldn't shut the set off just yet.

True. I think/hope he will turn this around and win, He has Omarosa on his team.... One thing for sure, there will be people loosing sleep tonight.

All said. I think not enough people will have changed their opinions of either candidate to make a difference. Trump will still be our next president.

Why do I want to see more of Ana N. blowing a fuse?? LOL ... I would vote for Trump 2x to see that happen. (Chris Mathews has no thrill up his leg this year?)

This debate is the best I've ever seen, if only for pure entertainment value.

Well... that was something else altogether.

Never seen anything quite like that, but I have to say that The Donald struck a few chords with me... FINALLY somebody says things about Hillary OUT LOUD, to her face, in front of a huge live audience.

I hope the Secret Service stays close to him, because after talking about Hillary like that, his safety might be in jeopardy.

Martha was eager to enjoin the debate wasn't she?

The fly. Twice. Must be all the botulinum.

"Cause you'd be in jail."

Trump wiped the floor with her on all levels.

A president generally can't win politically when it comes to acting to prevent genocide. Doing so requires major boots on the ground military intervention. See coalition intervention on behalf of Kurds and Shia in Iraq. At the first signs of trouble, our media start harping about "quagmire." And when genocide is prevented, just like prevention of mass-shootings, the press pretends there was never any such threat, well, at least when the president is a (R). When he's a (D), he gets a Nobel Peace Prize.

I thought Trump nailed it when he incredulously decried the tendency under Obama to broadcast major military action ahead of time. That's when Martha strenuously took up debate with Trump. "It could be for psychological warfare" (paraphrasing) she challenged. Unbelievable. Trump was right, it was 3 against 1.

I listened to that exchange and had a couple questions . . .

1) I've never quite understood the wisdom of publicizing your SECRET plans a month in advance. We not only provided the precise numbers, as we planned to withdraw troops in Iraq, we almost went so far as to provide a schedule of skills we were leaving. Odd.

2) I as wondering if she was running for President. In a role as a Moderator, like it or not, no one wants or needs your opinion. That was beyond the bounds of responsible journalism. It'd be akin to asking Hillary, in the vein of Bill's wanderings . . . "was he getting it at home?"

Trump did fine. He needs to keep a razor sharp focus on his ground game. I think there are many who have thrown up their arms and won't vote. Hopefully, he'll recapture some ground in these battleground states.

Matt,
You sound like you are going through a process that I already faced myself. Trump is like the little boy who dips a girls pigtails into the inkwell. Hillary is an all out criminal. Trump will bring needed economic change. Clinton will continue to sit in Obama's throne up high even though the Emperor has no clothes.

America needs Trump. YMMV.

Raditz "Candy Crowleyed" Trump but that is expected by the politicized MSM.

I'd just like to point out that Donald Trump was a Democrat when he spouted that locker room talk.

So it's Completely hypocritical to use that as a reason to not like him.

Democrats can screw under age pages, and it's fine. A Republican can send a love letter to an adult page and it's grounds for exile.

I can't make this stuff up. No one would accept this in a movie script.

It should be pointed out that there are no actual victims of Trumps locker room like talk. No excuse for the BS talk, but there are simply no actual victims. The Clintons OTOH, had a line up of victims, right there at the debate. Victims of Bill, who were then further victimized by Hillary, defending her sexual predator of a husband. They should have to register so that their neighbors know about it, but they are Clintons after all. They don't play by the same rules as common sexual predators.
