Hey Gents, I just bought this 98 S1W a couple weeks ago and put 2k miles on it already......and then she just died. No Power what's soever. No Lights, nothing. Put a brand new ignition box, new battery, had the coil tested by harley(checked out good) took apart kill switch and cleaned.....still nothing. bought a multi meter......nothing has power except up to the solenoid. any help would be most appreciated.

Did you try with a know good other battery?

Sorry, no golden bullet to offer. It has been my experience that the best solution in the long run is to start at the beginning, so to speak, and proceed one step at a time.

With the wiring diagram and the multimeter at hand:

Take out the battery and have it tested. Then confirm that the negative and positive battery cables are in good condition and properly attached. Don't rely on just a visual check; actually remove-pull-tug-ohm tighten.

The wiring diagram will show how the electricity gets from the battery, to the ignition switch, to the fuse box. So confirm power to the switch, through the switch, to the appropriate fuse/ relay. And so on.
