I don't have all the details, but I'll share what I've harvested from others (thanks Mark Weiss).

They sell a MOSFET voltage regulator kit, and allegedly also a mounting plate, to put a good third party standard regulator on the XB platform without a lot of fuss.

That plate shown in the pictures above is from Roadster, and is called a "universal mounting kit". Simple and clever.

Maybe not necessary info ,but i wanted to know.
So asked Roadster cycles about these vr's
And he said the ones used for the xb bikes works also for the tubers.
