Hello all...

I've owned my 2003 XB9R since new. Recently when I was riding home it got dark and I realized my headlights were not functioning. Everything else works. Bike starts and runs without issue. Tail/brake lights work normally. All fuses are good. Both checked and replaced with known good fuse. Bulbs replaced. Still no lights. I've started tearing into it but can find no faults. Wiring looks good, no wear or other issues found.

Any ideas?
Thanks in advance for any assistance.

Have you checked the white plug behind the fairing? Is there voltage present there?

Check the integrity of the ground wire going to the frame from the connector.

You're right. The white plug is the issue. Ground wire fried inside and melted the plug.

Thanks!
