I recently picked up a 2010 Buell Blast with ~1000 miles on it and am absolutely loving zipping around town. I'm a small dude and love how easy it is to maneuver and ride.
The only thing I'm hating so far is that if I let it get cold (say, leaving it sit for an afternoon), it is extremely rough to start. To the point of stalling out if I try to ride it too quickly.
Basically, if I try to give it any throttle after starting it will rev a bit and misfire like crazy. Then if I put it into gear and try to roll on the throttle it will misfire and stall out.
I haven't checked anything yet, but I'm wondering what some common causes of misfires are. I know that engines run on a combination of fuel/air/spark so I'm planning on checking those three things, but considering it's got less than 1k miles on it I'd be surprised if any of those things actually need to be changed. |

need to probably have the idle adjusted CCW (counter clockwise)to richen the fuel air mixture.In other words add or tweak in more fuel.Somthing else that must be consider is a leaky carb to intake manifold gasket,this could be causing a lean (more air in the fuel to air mixture}. |

Hmm, I'll check that out. Is the carb pretty easy to take apart on the Blast? |

I personally haven't done the blast but most carbs are pretty easy.If you don't have a manual get one or use your phone and take pictures. Lay every thing out on a clean surface and in a chronological manner. I use carb cleaner and clean all jets ports etc...use YouTube and get hints from others even if its a different carb. |
