01 blast

according to the service manual, the primary chain adjustment screw should be torqued to 24 in lbs then backed off 3/4 turn. after doing this, the bottom of the bolt head is about 1/8 inch from the packing nut. also, now my idle is so weak the thing is constantly on the verge of stalling when idling, and a new whining noise is coming from the engine.

anyone know what I should do?

If you scroll down and look in the Thumper section you will find all the advice you will ever need for the Blast.
I haven't owned one for two years but I do know that others more knowledgeable than me have described the best adjustment procedure in the Thumper section many times.
Oh, welcome to the mad house that is Badweb. The best site for Buell's.
