I have an 01 S3, and I want to put an aftermarket air filter on it, becaus after dumping it lastyear, I had to replace the whole outer assembly. The new back plate did not have a gasket on it, nor did the box cover. I am using weather stripping, but it is not holding up to the heat. any body know where I can find an aftermarket intake? One that would require minimal alterations.

As mentioned in another thread, the Race Ham Can is a good replacement. Some folks like the Force Winder.
